After six games of exhilarating hockey -- three tight, low-scoring contests in Vancouver and three wild, high-scoring affairs in Boston -- the 2011 Stanley Cup will be awarded at a decisive Game 7 Wednesday at Rogers Arena. It's been a long time since either team has hoisted the Cup. The Bruins haven't won a championship since 1972 while the Canucks -- born in 1970 -- haven't won in franchise history.

They say nothing is sweeter than a Game 7 victory. Who gets to end the season on a win?

the Canucks are still struggling to produce in the Final. The Presidents' Trophy winners were one of the biggest offensive threats through the regular season -- posting the League's best power play and the NHL's No. 1 and No. 4 scorers in Daniel and Henrik Sedin -- but haven't shown much of that in this series against Boston. In the Final, Vancouver is 2-for-29 on the power play while the Sedins have combined for only 5 points. All of that can be erased, though, with a victory in Game 7.

Boston seems to have no trouble scoring at TD Garden -- the Bruins have tallied 17 goals in their three Stanley Cup Final games there. Rogers Arena is a different story. Boston has recorded only two goals in its three losses there, getting shut out twice. Unfortunately for the Bruins, Game 7 is in Vancouver, and they're going to have to figure out a way to beat Roberto Luongo at his home arena.

The Vancouver Canucks are halfway to winning the franchise's first Stanley Cup championship. Alexandre Burrows extended his team's series lead to 2-0 when he scored 11 seconds into overtime Saturday night, lifting the Canucks to a pulsating 3-2 victory at Rogers Arena.

Bruins: If you think the Bruins will enter Game 3 with a lack of confidence after suffering back-to-back losses in Vancouver, think again. Boston has been in this situation before, having lost the first two games of its opening-round matchup with the Montreal Canadiens, only to go on to win that series in 7. Obviously, though, the Bruins are going to have to find a way to win Monday night.

Canucks: In one of the more heartwarming stories of the season, Vancouver center Manny Malhotra returned to the lineup Saturday night after missing nearly two months with what at the time appeared to be a career-threatening injury to his left eye. The 31-year-old hit the ice at Rogers Arena to cheers of "Man-ny! Man-ny!" from the capacity crowd -- a moment he'll never forget.

Burrows' overtime goal was his third this postseason. Only two other players in NHL history have scored three OT goals in one postseason -- Maurice Richard of the Canadiens in 1951 and Boston's Mel Hill in 1939. … With his goal Saturday night, Bruins forward Mark Recchi became the oldest player to score in the history of the Stanley Cup Final at 43 years, 123 days. … Saturday night marked the first time the Bruins lost this postseason when leading after two periods (6-1).

CANUCKS : – Vancouver Canucks coach Alain Vigneault was maintaining the fact that center Manny Malhotra is "day-to-day" when he met the media Monday at Rogers Arena.

However, anyone who watched practice closely noticed the forward was paired on a penalty killing unit alongside Maxim Lapierre -- a sign that he could play Game 1 against the Boston Bruins on Wednesday night.

"I've been watching (Maxim) play for quite some time now," Malhotra said. "It becomes a lot easier out there with a guy like him, who has that knack for talking, and we communicate really well out there in terms of switching, knowing where each other is, that made the transition today a little bit easier."

Malhotra was officially cleared to play over the weekend after sitting out since March 16, when he suffered a severe eye injury during the Canucks' 4-2 win against the Colorado Avalanche.

BRUINS : -- It took an injury to star center Patrice Bergeron to get rookie Tyler Seguin into the Boston Bruins' postseason lineup.

It took productivity and competitiveness to keep him among Boston's 12 forwards once Bergeron returned.

Seguin famously scored three goals and added two assists in the Bruins' first two games of the Eastern Conference Final against Tampa Bay. While the Bruins were on their way to a seven-game victory, Seguin didn't register another point the rest of the series.

But coach Claude Julien witnessed the maturation of last June's No. 2 overall draft pick enough to stick with the 19-year-old and scratch veteran energy player Shawn Thornton for the series' final five games. Seguin had been a healthy scratch for the first 12 Bruins' postseason games.
