Ospreys, the defending Magners League champions left it mighty late to grab the 4th qualifying spot for the semifinals, James Hook's 75th minute penalty goal at Viadana giving the Welshmen the lead for the first time in the game and four match points to move them ahead of an unlucky Scarlets team. Ospreys only win in Ireland this season was 16-15 at Connacht on 19 November.
Munster have topped the Magners League table since round two. The 2008/09 champions have lost just one Magners League game since November: 18-19 at Treviso on 13 February. The Munstermen have not lost at home in the league since the Ospreys were the visitors on 24 April 2010.
